| Overall Purpose of the Position/Function Oversee all sales activities within the region. Develop, train, manage and support a representative sales channel in the defined region. Perform direct sales activities based on either target accounts or specific markets within designated territories. Activities will include presentations, negotiations, lead generation and follow-up, cold calling, training, quoting, etc. and as needed to ensure growth and success of the region. Responsibilities 1. Manage sales activities in a specific sales region, which may include generating leads, generating sales proposals, negotiating and procuring sales contracts, delivering signed contracts for order entry. 2. Develop, train, manage and support representative network. 3. Responsible for business/client development within a region, either directly or through assigned representative. This activity will include cold call meetings and developing strategies to meet an individual clients needs. 4. Join and participate in local industry associations. 5. Conceptual sales and closing activities within target accounts and markets. 6. Meet and/or exceed individual revenue threshold. 7. Timely follow-up on leads generated through representative management, corporate and regional efforts. 8. Daily and weekly reporting of sales activities, schedules and contracts. 9. Abide by on-the-job site safety requirements. 10. Attend and participate in both regional and national conferences and sales seminars, including giving technical presentations. 11. Initiate Project kick-off meetings prior to project start-up. 12. Work closely with Operations to determine specific project requirements and assist in contract interpretation and client interface. 13. Complete Special Projects as requested. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: SKILLS - Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to use a computer. Travel is essential. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - Degree Preferred. Water, Wastewater, HVAC, Industrial and Natural Gas experience preferred with sales exposure to Contractors, Engineers and Municipalities. (EOE/AA/MFDV) |
